Volksfield

For many airmen in the PRANG, the Combat Readiness Training Center in Volksfield, Wisconsin is not a new place, but for the new airmen they will get plenty of time to know it well. The last time the 156AW mobilized (400 plus) airmen to Volksfield was in 2002, for an Ability to Survive and Operate training (ATSO). Now it is time to go back but for our FY09 Operational Readiness Inspection (ORI). This October, approximately 60 airmen from the Operations, Maintenance, Medical and Support Groups will depart from Muñiz to Volksfield to participate in the Operational Readiness Training Program (ORTP) Phase III. Different areas will be covered in this training like unit Command and Control and Battle Staff procedures, Unit Control Centers (UCC), and unit Emergency Operational Centers (EOC). The EET is the team of evaluators in charge of evaluating the entire ORI, they are recognizable for their range colored baseball caps.
